We got to see the White House even though it was far away.

It’s so cool that you got to go to the Washington Monument. I wish I could have gone there, too. Where did you stay when you went on this trip? Did you get to go into the White House? I’ve always wanted to see the White House.
I saw the White House, but I did not get to go in it. I stayed at one of my friend’s houses.
